Biopsy of nerve tissue, hypophysis, pineal gland by incision and craniotomy: Incisional intraspinal biopsy: Spinal meninges
Tissue samples were taken from the meninges in your spinal cord during an operation.
The spinal cord is located in the spinal column. The spinal cord is made up of nerve fibers. The brain uses the nerve fibers to exchange information with the organs, skin and muscles.
On the outside of the brain and spinal cord there are three thin meninges (linings). A tough meninx, the dura mater, is on the outside. Below that are two soft meninges.
