Incisional biopsy of other digestive organs, diaphragm and (retro-)peritoneum: Incisional biopsy of other digestive organs, peritoneum and retroperitoneal tissue: Mesentery

Tissue samples have been taken from the suspensory ligament for your abdominal organs.

In the abdomen there is a sort of suspensory ligament for certain organs. These organs include the stomach and the intestine, for example. The suspensory ligament stabilizes the organ in the abdomen though it can be moved. Blood vessels and nerves for the organ also normally run through the suspensory ligament.

The tissue samples were taken during an operation.
