Incisional biopsy of female genital organs: Incisional biopsy of other female genital organs: Vaginal biopsy of pouch of Douglas
Tissue samples have been taken from the space between your rectum and uterus.
The uterus or womb sits in the pelvis and is pear-shaped. The narrower part extends downward into the vagina and is called the cervix. When a woman is pregnant, the child grows in her uterus. The last segment of the large intestine consists of 2 sections. These 2 sections are the rectum and anal canal. The feces are collected in the rectum. The feces then move through the short anal canal to the anus. Feces are excreted through the anus. The area between the rectum and the uterus is the lowest point in the abdominal cavity.
The tissue samples were taken during an operation.
