Incisional biopsy of other organs: Incisional biopsy of mediastinum and other intrathoracic organs: Lung
Tissue samples were taken from your lungs during an operation.
You need lungs to breathe. When we breathe in, oxygen enters the lungs and accumulates in the blood. This blood then flows to the heart. The heart then pumps the oxygen-rich blood throughout the body. All of the organs are supplied with oxygen as a result.
Additional indicator
If necessary, additional letters are appended to OPS codes to indicate which side of the body is affected.
