1-632.1:
Diagnostic endoscopy of upper digestive tract: Diagnostic oesophago-gastroduodenoscopy: Anastomosis to oesophagus, stomach and/or duodenum
You have had a gastroscopy. In the process, your oesophagus, your stomach and the first part of your small intestine were examined.
The first part of the small intestine is also called the duodenum. This part is directly connected to the stomach and the lower part of the small intestine. The small intestine is lined with mucous membrane.
For the examination, a tube was inserted via your mouth. A camera is attached to the end of the tube. This camera then sends images to a screen during the examination. It can then be seen whether the tissue is healthy or changed.
