1-690.1:

Incisional and intraoperative diagnostic endoscopy: Incisional and intraoperative diagnostic bronchoscopy and tracheoscopy: Tracheoscopy

The inside of your windpipe has been examined.

When we breathe, the air gets into the body via the respiratory tract. The respiratory tract can be divided into the upper and the lower respiratory tracts. The nose and throat form part of the respiratory tract. The lower respiratory tract begins at the larynx in the throat. It includes the windpipe and the bronchia.

Your windpipe has been examined either via an operation or by making an incision in your skin. To do the test, a flexible tube or a rigid metal tube is inserted into the windpipe. Images of the windpipe are sent out via the flexible tube or the metal tube. In this way, the inside of the windpipe can be studied and assessed for any changes.

Additional indicator
