Pulmonary function tests: Spiroergometry
Your physical capacity has been examined.
The examination involved you making a physical effort while the load was gradually being increased. A special cycle or treadmill is usually used to do this. This enables testing of how your heart, lungs and muscles are working together.
During the test, the patient breathes through a special mask. A tube connects the mask to a machine. Measurements can be taken, for example, of how much air the person is breathing in and out over a particular length of time.
An ECG machine was also used to measure your heart’s electrical activity. The heart’s electrical activity triggers the heartbeat. Your blood pressure has also been measured regularly.

If necessary, additional letters are appended to OPS codes to indicate which side of the body is affected.
