For one or more investigations it was necessary not to move during this time.

These investigations usually require a stay in hospital for a certain period of time. To prevent movement during a procedure, a sedative can be administered. For some procedures, anesthesia is also necessary. When someone is given an anesthetic, they are no longer conscious and they no longer feel any pain.

Additional indicator

If necessary, additional letters are appended to OPS codes to indicate which side of the body is affected.
