Contrast-enhanced projection radiography: Fistulography
You have had an X-ray taken of a fistula. This involved using a contrast agent.
For various reasons, fistulas can form in the body that are not normally there.
A contrast agent is a fluid. The contrast agent is intended to help to differentiate the tissues more clearly from one another in the X‑ray examination.
Additional indicator
If necessary, additional letters are appended to OPS codes to indicate which side of the body is affected.
- L: Left
- R: Right
- B: Both sides
