Contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI): Contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging of heart: Under stress

You have had an MRI scan.

An MRI scan involves taking sectional images of the inside of your body. This enables a view of the inside of the body. The scan is based on magnetism. The organs and muscles, for example, can be particularly well assessed using MRI images.

You have had a MRT scan done on your heart, using contrast agents. A contrast agent is a fluid. This fluid makes certain tissues show up better on MRT images.

A MRT scan was done of your heart while you made a physical effort.
