Contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI): Contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging of peripheral vessels
You have had an MRI scan.
An MRI scan involves taking sectional images of the inside of your body. This enables a view of the inside of the body. The scan is based on magnetism. The organs and muscles, for example, can be particularly well assessed using MRI images.
You have had an MRI scan of your blood vessels using contrast agents. A contrast agent is a fluid. This fluid makes certain tissues show up better on MRT images.
