Contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI): Contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging of fetus

You have had an MRI scan.

An MRI scan involves taking sectional images of the inside of your body. This enables a view of the inside of the body. The scan is based on magnetism. The organs and muscles, for example, can be particularly well assessed using MRI images.

You have had an MRI scan of your unborn child using contrast agents. A contrast agent is a fluid. This fluid makes certain tissues show up better on MRT images.

Additional indicator

If necessary, additional letters are appended to OPS codes to indicate which side of the body is affected.

  • L: Left
  • R: Right
  • B: Both sides

Further information

Note

Your doctor will assist you with any health-related questions and explain the OPS code to you in a direct consultation if necessary.
