In order to operate on the inside of your skull, we have cut through your cranial bones.
The skull surrounds the brain. It consists of a number of individual bones that are tightly attached to each other.
Sectional images of your head were produced before the operation. A computer was then used to ensure that your cranial bones were cut through in exactly the right place.
Additional indicator
If necessary, additional letters are appended to OPS codes to indicate which side of the body is affected.
- L: Left
- R: Right
- B: Both sides
