Other operations on skull, brain and meninges: Functional interventions on skull, brain and meninges: Inspect a drug pump for intraventricular infusion
In the past you had a drug pump implanted. Your drug pump has now been adjusted.
A drug pump alway delivers a certain amount of medication straight into the liquor in the brain. So a drug like this usually has a very targeted effect in the brain. There are cavities with cerebrospinal fluid in the brain, around the brain and around the spinal cord. Among other things, the cerebrospinal fluid cushions the brain and spinal cord during knocks and also nourishes the brain cells.
When a drug pump is being used, the body also needs less of the drug than would be the case with tablets, for example.
Additional indicator
