Other operations on skull, brain and meninges: Functional interventions on skull, brain and meninges: Implant a temporary subdural neuroelectrode system (grid): 1 to 5 subdural neuroelectrode systems with 1 to 31 contacts per system
The aim was to find out which areas of your brain are triggering your seizures. This is why you had an operation on your brain.
The nervous system includes all the nerves in the body, as well as the brain and the spinal cord. The nerves run from the brain and spinal cord into the body. They convey information in the body. The information from the brain and for the brain is transmitted via electrical signals.
Special strips have been applied to certain locations on the surface of your brain. The aim of the strips is to record electrical signals in those areas of the brain for a certain period of time. The aim is to find out which areas of your brain are responsible for your seizures. The results will enable further treatment to be planned. It may be possible, through another operation, to remove the areas of the brain that are triggering the seizures.
