Operations on retina, choroidea and vitreous body: Other operations on the retina: Correction of location of a radioactive applicator
A radioactive applicator in your eye has been repositioned.
Some eye conditions are treated using radiation. In so doing, only the diseased areas of the eye should be irradiated if possible. A radioactive applicator for the radiation can be surgically inserted into the eye. Once the diseased area has been sufficiently irradiated, the applicator is usually removed.
