Skin has been grafted to your nose to stop nose bleeds.

We need the nose for breathing and smelling. The inside of the nose is coated with a smooth, moist membrane. This membrane is also called the mucous membrane.

Part of the mucous membrane at the front of your nose has been stripped away. New membrane was applied there. This membrane was taken from somewhere else on your body beforehand.

Additional indicator

If necessary, additional letters are appended to OPS codes to indicate which side of the body is affected.

  • L: Left
  • R: Right
  • B: Both sides
