5-212.1:
Operations on the nose: Excision and destruction of diseased nasal tissue: Excision from the outer nose, histographically controlled (micrographic surgery)
Diseased tissue has been removed from the outside of your nose.
We need the nose for breathing and smelling. The outside of the nose is composed of bone and cartilage. The nasal septum divides the nasal cavity into two halves. The inside of the nose is lined with a moist mucous membrane. The nasal concha are bony protrusions in the nose, and also lined with mucous membrane.
After it was removed, the tissue was specially marked. The tissue was then examined under the microscope. This sort of examination usually aims to find out whether all of the diseased tissue has been successfully removed.
