5-212.2:
Operations on the nose: Excision and destruction of diseased nasal tissue: Excision from the inner nose, endonasal
Diseased tissue has been removed from inside your nose.
We need the nose for breathing and smelling. The outside of the nose is composed of bone and cartilage. The nasal septum divides the nasal cavity into two halves. The inside of the nose is lined with a moist mucous membrane. The nasal concha are bony protrusions in the nose, and also lined with mucous membrane.
The treatment involved inserting a narrow tube into your nostril. This tube enabled the inside of your nose to be viewed and the diseased tissue to be removed.
