Other operations on lungs and bronchus: Adhesiolysis in lungs and chest: Pleurolysis, open surgical

Adhesions in the area around your lungs have been separated.

The lungs are surrounded by a smooth membrane. A smooth membrane like this is also located inside the ribs. Both membranes cling to each other via a small amount of fluid.

Some of the smooth membrane around your lungs had grown to adhere with the smooth membrane in the ribs. An operation has detached these adhesions.

The operation involved opening your chest via an incision. This enabled the organs in your chest to be examined and treated directly.
