Operations on chest wall, pleura, mediastinum and diaphragm: Plastic reconstruction of chest wall: Bone plasty and/or bone transplantation

You have had an operation on your ribcage. The aim of the surgery is to restore the original shape of your ribcage.

Part of your ribcage got broken. This can happen after an injury, for example, or after previous surgery. So your ribcage has been surgically reconstructed using bone from somewhere else.

Additional indicator

If necessary, additional letters are appended to OPS codes to indicate which side of the body is affected.

  • L: Left
  • R: Right
  • B: Both sides
