5-346.a3:
Operations on chest wall, pleura, mediastinum and diaphragm: Plastic reconstruction of chest wall: Correction of a chest deformity: Correction of a rib hump
The shape of your ribcage has been surgically changed. This involved flattening out a rib hump.
Rib hump can occur with scoliosis. With scoliosis, the spine is curved and twisted. The spine is connected to the ribs. So scoliosis also often involves the ribs being twisted. It is common that the ribs on one side bulge out while those on the other side are flattened. This bulge is known as rib hump.
The operation flattened out your rib hump by adjusting the twisting and curving of your spine.
