Operations on cardiac valves and septa and vessels near the heart: Other heart operations for congenital anomalies: Correction of absent pulmonary valve syndrome

You have had a heart operation for a congenital deformity.

The heart pumps blood through the body. Inside the heart are 4 chambers. There are 2 heart atria and 2 ventricles. Both heart atria and both ventricles are separated from each other by a partition.

Your heart did not develop properly before you were born. As a result the blood was not able to flow properly from your right ventricle to your lungs. In addition, your aorta near your heart was changed and you had a hole in your cardiac septum. The operation repaired the deformity.

Additional indicator

If necessary, additional letters are appended to OPS codes to indicate which side of the body is affected.

  • L: Left
  • R: Right
  • B: Both sides

Note

Your doctor will assist you with any health-related questions and explain the OPS code to you in a direct consultation if necessary.
