5-363.0:
Operations on the coronary vessels: Other revascularization of the heart: Coronary artery patch
You have had synthetic tissue or tissue from your own body sewn into a coronary artery.
The heart is supplied with oxygen-rich blood via the coronary arteries. The coronary arteries are blood vessels that run around the outside of the heart.
When a piece of tissue is sewn into a blood vessel, it can enlarge a narrowed blood vessel. In this way, the area behind the location treated should have a better blood supply.
Additional indicator
If necessary, additional letters are appended to OPS codes to indicate which side of the body is affected.
- L: Left
- R: Right
- B: Both sides
