Rhythm surgery and other operations on heart and pericardium: Pericardiotomy and cardiotomy: Adhesiolysis in pericardium
Growths have been detached in your pericardium.
The pericardium is a layer of connective tissue surrounding the heart. There is some fluid in the pericardium (heart sac). So the heart is able to move inside this lining.
Growths can form in the pericardium after the pericardium has been inflamed, for example. Growths like these can potentially prevent the heart from moving properly in the pericardium.
