Incision, excision and closure of blood vessels: Resection of blood vessels with reanastomozation: Fibular artery
A piece has been removed from an artery at the side of your shin.
Arteries are blood vessels that transport blood away from the heart. They supply all the tissue in the body with oxygen-rich blood.
Sections of blood vessels may be removed, for example, if the blood vessel is enlarged there. The remaining ends are then usually sewn together again.
Additional indicator
