Incision, excision and closure of blood vessels: Other surgical closure of blood vessels: Common palmar digital arteries
You have had one or more arteries in your fingers sealed.
Arteries are blood vessels that transport blood away from the heart. They supply all the tissue in the body with oxygen-rich blood.
To seal a blood vessel, it can be clipped or ligated, for example. Blood is then no longer able to flow through the vessel or out of the vessel.
