Incision, excision and closure of blood vessels: Other surgical closure of blood vessels: Head, extracranial and neck

You have had one or more superficial veins in your head or neck sealed.

Veins are blood vessels that transport the blood back to the heart.

To seal a blood vessel, it can be clipped or ligated, for example. Blood is then no longer able to flow through the vessel or out of the vessel.
