One or more stents have been specially made for you.
Several blood vessels branch off the aorta, taking blood to the different parts of the body. The stent has one or more openings so that the blood can flow into the branches.
To implant a stent, a tube is used to push it, folded up, through the blood vessels. The stent is then unfolded in the correction location.
Additional indicator
If necessary, additional letters are appended to OPS codes to indicate which side of the body is affected.
- L: Left
- R: Right
- B: Both sides
