Other operations on blood vessels and additional information about operations on blood vessels: Patch plasty for blood vessels: Hepatic veins

You have had one or more liver veins enlarged using other tissue.

Veins are blood vessels that transport the blood back to the heart.

The liver is an important organ on the top right of the abdomen. For example, it helps with blood clotting and detoxifying the body. Nutrients from food are processed in the liver.

A vascular patch can be used to enlarge a vein. This vascular patch can be made of synthetic material or the body’s own tissue.
