If someone needs specific drugs for a long time, a drug pump can be used. A drug pump consists of a tube and a device. The tube sits in a blood vessel. The drug pump always delivers enough of the drug needed through the tube to your body. The pump takes into account the fact that you need different amounts of the drug at different times of day.

Additional indicator

If necessary, additional letters are appended to OPS codes to indicate which side of the body is affected.
