Other operations on blood vessels and additional information about operations on blood vessels: Other blood vessel operations: Implantation or replacement of an implantable drug pump (e.g. for chemotherapy or pain therapy): Drug pump with integrated electronic occlusion monitoring

You have had a drug pump implanted or replaced.

If someone needs specific drugs for a long time, a drug pump can be used. A drug pump consists of a tube and a device. The tube sits in a blood vessel. The drug pump always delivers enough of the drug needed through the tube to your body. A special sensor ensures that enough of the drug is flowing through the tube.

Additional indicator

If necessary, additional letters are appended to OPS codes to indicate which side of the body is affected.

  • L: Left
  • R: Right
  • B: Both sides

Further information

Note

Your doctor will assist you with any health-related questions and explain the OPS code to you in a direct consultation if necessary.
