OPS-Code 5-39a.0:
Other operations on blood vessels and additional information about operations on blood vessels: Additional information on blood vessel operations: Intraoperative use of an embolism protection system
The treatment involved placing a special filter in one or more of your blood vessels.
During treatments on the blood vessels, it can happen that deposits or clotted blood come out of the blood vessel. These detached particles can then be washed away within the blood vessels. As a result, the particles can get into smaller blood vessels and block them.
The special filter is designed to absorb deposits from the blood vessels and clotted blood. The filter is intended to prevent smaller blood vessels from becoming blocked. The filter will be removed again after the treatment.
