An operation has involved giving you a special artificial blood vessel replacement.

The special replacement vessel is made of synthetic tissue. This synthetic tissue also contains a wire mesh that makes the replacement vessel more stable. The aim is to keep vessels open or to bridge weaknesses in the vascular wall.

Additional indicator

If necessary, additional letters are appended to OPS codes to indicate which side of the body is affected.

  • L: Left
  • R: Right
  • B: Both sides
