Pathologically changed tissue has been removed from your stomach.

The stomach is located in the upper abdomen. The stomach has a curved shape, and is connected to the gullet (oesophagus) at its upper end and with the first part of the small intestine at its lower end. Between the stomach and the small intestine is a ring-shaped valve, the pylorus. The inside of the stomach is lined with mucous membrane.

The treatment involved inserting a tube through your mouth and pushing it into your stomach. A camera is attached to the end of the tube. This camera then sends images to a screen during the examination. It can then be seen whether the tissue is healthy or changed. Small tools can be pushed through at the front of the tube.

The tissue in your stomach has been destroyed using drugs. To enable the drugs to work better, the tissue was also treated with electricity.
