Other operations on the stomach: Other operations on the stomach: Injection: Endoscopic
You have had treatment on your stomach.
The stomach is located in the upper left abdomen. The stomach stores food and breaks it down further. Harmful pathogens are also killed by gastric acid in the stomach. The stomach thus prepares the food for digestion in the intestines.
Your treatment involved injecting a certain drug into your stomach. Drugs might be injected into the stomach to stop bleeds, for example.
For your stomach to be treated, a tube was inserted into your mouth and pushed through into your stomach. A camera is attached to the end of the tube. This camera then sends images to a screen during the examination. It can then be seen whether the tissue is healthy or changed.
