You had treatment on your intestine.
The intestines are made up of the small intestine and the large intestine or colon. Most of the nutrients are absorbed in the small intestine. The large intestine is where water and minerals are taken from the stool. The last segment of the large intestine (colon) is the rectum. Stool then leaves the body through the anus.
To treat the intestine, a tube is inserted via the anus or the mouth. This depends on which part of the intestine is being treated.
Images from the examined area can be transmitted to the outside via the tube. It can then be seen whether the tissue is healthy or changed.
You have had a synthetic tube inserted or replaced in your intestine. The purpose of this type of synthetic tube is to keep narrow places in the intestine open.
