You have had treatment on your rectum.
The last segment of the large intestine consists of 2 sections. These 2 sections are the rectum and anal canal. The feces are collected in the rectum. The feces then move through the short anal canal to the anus. Feces are excreted through the anus.
The treatment involved ligating tissue in your rectum. To ligate tissue, a special rubber band is usually used. This enables enlarged blood vessels or mucus membrane bulges, for example, to be ligated. The mucus membrane is a moist membrane that lines the inside of the intestine.
