5-489.2:

Operations on the rectum: Other operation on the rectum: Dilatation, perianal

You have had treatment on your rectum.

The last segment of the large intestine consists of 2 sections. These 2 sections are the rectum and anal canal. The feces are collected in the rectum. The feces then move through the short anal canal to the anus. Feces are excreted through the anus.

The treatment involved widening a narrow point in your rectum. For example, a balloon may be inflated at the narrow point. Your stool should be better able to pass through your rectum as a result.
