You have had markers for radiotherapy implanted in your anus.

The last segment of the large intestine consists of 2 sections. These 2 sections are the rectum and anal canal. The feces are collected in the rectum. The feces then move through the short anal canal to the anus. Feces are excreted through the anus.

You are going to have radiotherapy treatment on certain parts of your anus. For this purpose, some locations have been marked before the radiotherapy.

Additional indicator

If necessary, additional letters are appended to OPS codes to indicate which side of the body is affected.

  • L: Left
  • R: Right
  • B: Both sides
