Markers for radiotherapy treatment have been inserted into your liver.

The liver is an important organ on the top right of the abdomen. For example, it helps with blood clotting and detoxifying the body. Nutrients from food are processed in the liver.

You are going to have radiotherapy treatment on certain parts of your liver. For this purpose, some locations have been marked before the radiotherapy. The markers were implanted into you from your stomach or from your intestine. A tube with a camera was inserted through your mouth for this purpose. The tube could then be used to push the markers.

Additional indicator

If necessary, additional letters are appended to OPS codes to indicate which side of the body is affected.

  • L: Left
  • R: Right
  • B: Both sides
