Operations on the pancreas: Other operations on the pancreas and pancreatic duct: Implantation of radiotherapy markers into the pancreas: Endoscopic
Markers for radiotherapy treatment have been inserted into your pancreas.
The pancreas is located in the upper abdomen. It regulates the sugar content in the blood and forms substances for digestion, for example.
You are going to have radiotherapy treatment on certain parts of your pancreas. For this purpose, some locations have been marked before the radiotherapy. The markers were implanted into you from your stomach or from your intestine. A tube with a camera was inserted through your mouth for this purpose. The tube could then be used to push the markers.
Additional indicator
