Closure of abdominal hernias: Closure of an incisional hernia: With alloplastic, allogeneic or xenogenous material: Open surgical as abdominal wall replacement, for a horizontal defect width of 10 cm or more

You have had an operation to close an incisional hernia.

An incision was made in your skin near the scar.

During the operation the contents of the hernia were replaced in your stomach and the weakness in your abdominal wall was closed. To do this, a large part of your abdominal wall was strengthened using foreign material or tissue. A mesh is often used for this purpose.
