5-562.3:

Operations on the ureter: Ureterotomy, percutaneous transrenal and transurethral stone treatment: Insertion of an indwelling loop

You had an intervention in your ureter through which one or more bladder stones are meant to exit.

The ureter is a thin, muscular tube in the abdomen. There is usually one ureter on each side. The urine flows from the kidney, via the ureter, to the bladder.

A loop has been inserted into your ureter. This loop will remain in your body for a while with the aim of helping one or more bladder stones to exit on their own.

Additional indicator
