Operations on the ureter: Ureterotomy, percutaneous transrenal and transurethral stone treatment: Removal of a stone, percutaneous transrenal, with disintegration (lithotripsy)

You have had one or more urinary stones removed from your ureter.

The ureter is a thin, muscular tube in the abdomen. There is usually one ureter on each side. The urine flows from the kidney, via the ureter, to the bladder.

After an incision had been made in your skin, one or more urinary stones were removed via your kidney. To remove the stones, they were pulverized into lots of small pieces.
