5-570.4:
Operations on the bladder: Endoscopic removal of stones, foreign bodies and tamponades from bladder: Surgical removal of a bladder tamponade, transurethral
Clumped blood has been removed from your bladder.
The urinary passages include the ureters, bladder and urethra. Urine flows from both kidneys into the bladder via the ureters. The urethra channels the urine outward from the bladder.
When there is bleeding in the urinary passages, blood can accumulate in the bladder and clot there. When blood clots, it clumps. The clumped blood in the bladder can result in urine being no longer able to drain away properly.
To remove the clumped blood, a small tube or pipe was inserted through your urethra. The clumped blood can be sucked out through the tube or pipe.
