Markers for radiotherapy treatment have been inserted into your prostate.

The prostate forms part of the male genital organs. The prostate sits below the bladder and encircles the urethra. The prostate is also known as the prostate gland. Some of the seminal fluid is formed in the prostate.

You are going to have radiotherapy treatment on certain parts of your prostate. For this purpose, some locations have been marked before the radiotherapy. You had the markers implanted from your rectum.

Additional indicator

If necessary, additional letters are appended to OPS codes to indicate which side of the body is affected.

  • L: Left
  • R: Right
  • B: Both sides
