Operations on other bones: Incision in bone, septic and aseptic: Drainage: Phalanges of the foot

You have had an operation on one or more of your toe bones.

The foot is made up of a lot of small bones and joints. The lower leg is connected to the tarsus. Then comes the metatarsus and then the individual toes. The big toe consists of 2 toe bones. The other toes consist of 3 toe bones.

This intervention involved making one or more incisions in your skin.

One or more tubes were inserted. Wound discharge, for example, can be drained through the tubes.
