Operations on other bones: Incision in bone, septic and aseptic: Sequesterotomy: Proximal radius
You had an operation on the upper part of your radius.
There are 2 bones in the forearm, the ulna and the radius. The ulna is on the side where your little finger is. The radius is on the side where your thumb is. Both bones in the forearm have an upper, middle and lower section.
This intervention involved making one or more incisions in your skin.
A piece of bone that had died off was then removed from your radius.
Damaged tissue or dirt can also be removed during this type of intervention.
