You had an operation on the middle part of your tibia.
There are 2 bones in the lower leg, the tibia and the fibula. The tibia is on the inside of the leg. The fibula is on the outside of the leg. Both bones in the lower leg have an upper, middle and lower section.
This intervention involved making one or more incisions in your skin.
A piece of bone that had died off was then removed from your tibia.
Damaged tissue or dirt can also be removed during this type of intervention.
